ESPOUSING A CAUSE: B.V.Raghavulu, CPI (M) State secretary, addressing the delegates at the 24th conference of the Agriculture Workers Union at Kodad in Nalgonda district on Saturday.
NALGONDA: Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary B.V.Raghavulu has demanded that the State Government make public the Land Committee report before launching the third phase of land distribution programme. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 24th conference of the Andhra Pradesh Vyavasaya Kaarmika Sangham at Kodad in Nalgonda on Saturday, he alleged that the Land Committee report submitted by Koneru Ranga Rao and Redya Naik had been kept in dark "since the Government doesn't like its recommendations." "We came to know that the committee advised the Government to distribute an acre of land for every major in poor families. But the land distribution process is clearly against the spirit of the recommendations," he observed adding that his party would launch a movement during the land distribution exercise, if the Government failed to release the report. He asked the Government to keep it before the Assembly. He demanded that the Government place the loan agreement with World Bank before in the forthcoming session of the Assembly.
