Coimbatore: Due to technical reasons, the 450 telephone lines working in Sulur Air Force area attached to Sulur Telephone Exchange would be transferred to the Air Force DLC Exchange (level 2683XXX and 2684XXX) from 10 a.m. on October 30. A release from the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, said that the subscribers concerned had already been intimated individually about their new number by post.
Information
The changed number information would be available on "Automatic Changed Number Announcement Service" on telephone numbers 1952 (English) and 1953 (Tamil). Outstation subscribers could dial 0422-2301952/3 or 95-422-301952/3 to get the changed number. Subscribers were requested to note that during the changeover, telephone service was likely to be interrupted for a short duration, but this would only be a temporary occurence.
Password
Those having STD/ISD with dynamic locking facility were requested to re-register their password after the transfer, in order to continue using their instruments. In case of difficulty in making or receiving calls, besides any other complaint, subscribers were requested to contact the Sub-Divisional Engineer (Phone 2681600), Junior Telecom Officer (Phone 2683000) at Telephone exchange at Sulur. The release added that BSNL regretted the inconvenience temporarily caused to subscribers.
