Burglary in Santoshnagar Colony

HYDERABAD: Burglars decamped with gold ornamentsand a digital camera from a house at Santoshnagar during daytime on Saturday. The house owner David, a retired employee, and his wife were on the ground floor of the house at New Santoshnagar Colony when the burglary took place.

Five arrested

The Osmania University police on Saturday arrested five persons on charge of making fake degree certificates of Osmania University. According to Kachiguda ACP N. Prabhakar Reddy, a public telephone booth operator Swami, 40, of Lalapet and four of his associates were operating the fake certificate racket.

Girls raped

Two car drivers allegedly raped two girls hailing from Habeebnagar after luring them to Hafeezpet by offering them work. According to Goshamhal ACP K. Sridhar Rao, the two girls aged about 18 years lodged a complaint with the Habeebnagar police.Car drivers Siraz and Feroz are absconding. .
