Two accused arrested

Thiruvananthapuram: The city police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with several attempts of theft in Peroorkada police station limits.

A team led by CI (Peroorkada) M. Radhakrishnan Nair and SI S. Srikanth arrested the accused Renju alias Puli Renju on Saturday. He was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court and remanded for 15 days.

In another incident the police arrested a 35-year-old youth in connection with the alleged pestering of two Plus Two girl students at Muttada on Friday. According to the SI (Peroorkada), the accused, Sivakumar, was nabbed from Paruthipara on Saturday.

Found dead

A 65-year-old man was found dead in the pavement at Choorakattupalayam, near Killippalam, on the NH 47 late on Saturday. The police shifted the body to the Medical College Hospital by around 11.30 p.m.
