Last date extended

The last date for paying examination fee with fine for repeaters appearing in the second PU April 2007 examination has been extended up to November 4 with a special fine of Rs. 30 per day from October 1 onwards in addition to the penal fee of Rs. 300.

Diabetic eye check-up camp

Dr. M.C. Modi Charitable Eye Hospital is organising a free diabetic eye check-up camp on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the hospital in M.L.P. Layout, Bangalore-86. The screening includes a free blood sugar test.

Veerashaiva matrimonial meet

Lions Club camp

Lions Club International, District 324 D6, is organising a mega service camp on November 12 at Guru Nanak Bhavan from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clubs of the district will donate 100 wheelchairs, 100 crutches and 100 Jaipur foot prosthetics on that day. Inspectors suspended

Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao on Saturday suspended two police inspectors for not attending to files relating to investigation and other matters for long.

The inspectors are Mohammed Hussain of Ramamurthinagar police station and Siddappa of Cottonpet police station. Mr. Rao found them guilty of dereliction of duty during his surprise visits to the two stations on Saturday.
