Madras races postponed

Chennai: The stewards of the Madras Race Club have decided to further postpone the first day's races scheduled for Oct. 30 to Nov. 4, as heavy rain has rendered the track not conducive for racing. Consequently the second meeting to be held on Nov. 4 is now postponed to Nov. 5.

Due to administrative reasons, the third and sixth meetings, to be held on Nov. 9 and 17, have been postponed to Nov. 10 and 18 respectively, says a press release from the Madras Race Club.
