Yarn unit plans expansion

JAIPUR: Jagjanani Textiles Ltd (JTL), a cotton and blended yarn unit located at the RIICO Industrial Area at Bagru near here, is planning its expansion and forward integration investing Rs.54.17 crores. The project includes setting up a ring spinning unit of 6000 spindles for manufacturing fine cotton yarn and up-gradation of existing open end spinning units by installing the state of the art yarn attachment facility.

The company, which utilizes raw cotton produced in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh besides those from Haryana and Punjab, now has a capacity of 3600 tonnes per annum (TPA). "The programme is to increase the capacity to 4320 TPA. The company also will install a weaving unit for manufacturing fabrics, by installing 48 high air jet looms to add value to its products," S.G.Vyas, managing director of JTL, said in Bagru on Saturday.

JTL is exporting to countries such as Bahrain, Dubai, Egypt, Hong Kong, China and Pakistan. Its customers included Arvind Mills, Raymond, Soma Textiles and Vardhman Group, Mr.Vyas said.
