Woman kills son, hangs self

HYDERABAD:
A woman killed her two-year-old son and later hanged herself to death at her house at Labs Quarters in Kanchanbagh on Sunday following a quarrel with her husband over a trivial issue.
Twenty-nine-year-old Basanthi hanged her son Shubham and later ended her life after her husband Brij Kishore Mohanty allegedly admonished her for waking up late in the morning which delayed departure to their native place at Cuttack in Orissa. Angered over this, Basanthi went into her room along with her son and committed suicide after killing her son. Kishore, head constable in DRDL, was married to Basanthi three years ago, the police said.
