NEW DELHI: The Delhi Medical Association (DMA) has decided to actively participate and support the agitation against the sealing drive in Delhi. In a release issued on Sunday, DMA president K.K. Kapur said: "Our endeavour is to register our protest without paralysing the medical services but now we cannot continue to sit and watch as the future of our members and medical establishments of the city is adversely affected. Medical professionals are the worst affected and the recent modification in the Master Plan for Delhi 2001 has sent shock waves among medical professionals of the city." The DMA has planned to protest by wearing black badges on Monday and by holding a dharna in front of the DMA building on Tuesday. Calling upon the Government to heed the voice of the medical professionals, Dr. Kapur added: "If the response of the Government is not as per our expectations we shall be forced to ask our members to shut down regular medical services on November 1, although emergency services will remain functional."
