PUNE: Surya Shekhar Ganguly led the Grandmaster-brigade into the round of 16 after a series of enthralling second-round matches in the inaugural Poona Club knockout rapid chess tournament here on Tuesday. While most of the fancied names won with varying degrees of difficulty, former National junior champion G.N. Gopal came out a 4-3 victor over Saptarshi Roy in the only match that went the distance.
