CUB net profit up 31 p.c.

CHENNAI: City Union Bank has achieved a growth of 31 per cent in net profit at Rs. 16.32 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2006, against Rs. 12.44 crore in the corresponding period in 2006-07. The gross income rose to Rs. 111.27 crore from Rs. 90.79 crore. The operating profit has increased by 22 per cent to Rs. 35.69 crore from Rs. 29.22 crore. Net interest income rose by 33 per cent.
