Srikakulam wins overall title

HYDERABAD: Srikakulam won the overall championship with 276 points and Warangal finished second with 189 points in the inter-district athletic meet which concluded at Srikakulam on Tuesday, according to information received here.

The results:

Team championships: Under-20: Boys: 1. Visakhapatnam (65 points), 2. Srikakulam (56). Girls: 1.Krishna (71), 2. Visakhapatnam (35). Under-18: Boys: 1.Srikakulam (65), 2. Guntur (40). Girls: 1. Krishna duo moves up

Radhakrishna and Ramakrishna defeated the pair of C.B.V. Vara Prasad and Pandurangiah 7-5, 1-6, 6-3 in the above-55 doubles preliminary round in the second GVK-ITF seniors (veterans) tennis tournament here on Tuesday.

Bhavan's `B' wins

Bhavan's College `B' recorded an eight-wicket win over Little Flower Junior College `B' in the Parle Cup under-17 cricket tournament here.

Saritha bags double

A. Saritha won a double by winning the 1500 metres and the 3000m in the 32nd State-level women's sports festival at Lal Bahadur Stadium here.

Corporate golf

The CII-Visaka Corporate golf tournament will be organised at Bolarum on November 5. About 120 Chief Executive Officers of different corporate groups are expected to compete in the event. The invitees will be grouped according to their handicaps of 0-15 and 16-24.

OU athletics meet

Kho-kho selections

Trials to select the Hyderabad District kho kho under-18 boys and girls' teams will be held at Hanuman Vyayamshala on November 2.
