Four of family hacked to death

KADAPA: In a gruesome attack, a teacher allegedly hacked to death his in-laws, wife and two-year-old daughter at Rayachoti in the early hours of Tuesday.

A teacher at Badvel, Madhusudana Reddy, and some others allegedly hacked to death retired bank manager Battina Raghunatha Reddy (62), mother-in-law Padmavathi (58), wife Adilakshmi (32) and daughter Dharani (2), according to the police. He, however, spared his elder daughter Mounika (4).

The murders came to light when a milkman pushed open the main door, after no one answered his call. Madhusudana Reddy often quarrelled with Adilakshmi over her parents' property and her preference to reside with her parents, the police said.
