Governor greets people

HYDERABAD:
Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu greeted people on the eve of the golden jubilee celebration of State formation.
In a message, Mr. Thakur said that after being formed in 1956 on linguistic basis, the five decades had been eventful.
The Chief Minister outlined the welfare schemes taken up in the past two-and-a-half-years to usher in `Harithandhra Pradesh.' Mr. Naidu said it was a matter of pride for Telugus that the State had completed 50 years. Telugus were and would be one, given the strong language and cultural bonds.
