New Delhi: Continuing its exploration of contemporary and relevant theatre, Act One Art Group will be presenting its latest production, titled "Tum Jahan Kahin Bhi Ho'', in the Capital this weekend. "The play is about an outsider, an alien in the land, and also about insiders who feel like aliens in their own land. The play explores the complex relationship between the global superpower and the rest of the world,'' says actor Siddhant, who is part of the play. "The play is about an arrogant American Air Force pilot who accidentally gets caught in a remote village in an unknown country in a state of violent civil war. There are two reasons he manages to survive: one the goodness of a local farmer's family and two the inner contradictions between the ideologies of the warring factions,'' adds Siddhant. According to the director, using satirical songs of varied singers from across the world in a humorous manner, the play shows how troubled waters create inexplicable currents, where good and bad mingle and transform each other without one knowing how or why. The play "Tum Jahan Kahin Bhi Ho'' is based on David Greig's play, "The American Pilot'', and is scripted by Amitabh Srivastava. It is directed by N.K. Sharma. It will be staged at the Stein Auditorium of India Habitat Centre this coming Saturday and Sunday.
