KURNOOL: A nine-month-old infant was allegedly drowned in a bathtub and killed by a neighbour at Anavalu in Adoni mandal of Kurnool district on Tuesday. According to reports, a woman identified as Lalithamma took the baby from a girl and when the baby's mother inquired about the baby, the girl led the mother to the house of Lalithamma. After a search, people found the body in a bag. Enraged, the villagers tied the woman and the baby's father Ramu and beat them up. The villagers alleged that the Ramu had illicit relation with the woman and both had murdered the baby. The police rescued them and took them into custody.
