Plan to stage `Kadkol Chalo'

DHARWAD: Condemning the "social boycott" of Dalits in Kadkol village of Basavana Bagewadi taluk in Bijapur district, various organisations will be stage a "Kadkol Chalo" on November 4.

Basavaraj Soolebhavi, State convener of Karnataka Souharda Vedike told presspersons here on Monday that members of the organisations would stage a "jatha" from Kadkol to Bijapur on foot the same day.

The "jatha" would be in protest against the "negligence" of the district administration in arresting those responsible for the social boycott.

It would demand rehabilitation of the ostracised Dalits, he said.
