Congress to propagate welfare schemes of the Government

VISAKHAPATNAM: The death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was observed by the Greater Visakhapatnam Congress Committee at the party office on Tuesday.

Leaders and party workers garlanded her statue and observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to her.

At a meeting, committee president and MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao recalled the contribution of Indira Gandhi for the welfare of the downtrodden. He announced that the committee would conduct various programmes till November 19, the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi. He appealed to party workers to counter the Opposition campaign.
