TIRUPATI: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that there was no response so far from President Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the report he had recently submitted to them listing the various acts of ommissions and commissions of the State Government on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) project and the Gouru Venkat Reddy case. Addressing a press conference before rounding off his 2-day visit to his home district, he asserted that the President and the Prime Minister have a constitutional responsibility cast on them in ensuring the rule of law. They have a "moral, ethical and legal responsibility" to take action on the complaints, he said. Mr. Naidu alleged that obviously The TDP chief said that what the party delegation submitted in the report were no vague charges but `chronologically' listed cases with all documentary evidences. He reiterated the charge that the alignment of the ORR was changed four times and that the vested interests were allowed to purchase lands from the desperate farmers at throwaway prices. On the Rajaiah episode, Mr. Naidu described it as mother of all scams and said that an all-party meeting should be convened to discuss the issue. Later, the TDP president held a close door meeting with district party functionaries.
