NELLORE: A class X student stabbed his teacher at Kandaleru Residential School of Rapur mandal of the district on Monday. The condition of the teacher, P Susheela, is stated to be stable. According to the police, the student, E. Krishna Kumar attacked the 40-year old teacher with a knife near her quarter, while she was coming from the school during the lunch hour, and fled from the spot. Villagerstook her to a hospital. The police said that the teacher had recently punished Kumar in front of his classmates for not attending classes and examinations regularly. The police have constituted a special team to nab the student.
Journalist attacked
The police have registered a case against an employee of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation R Sarathi for attacking a journalist. According to the police, the sweeper attacked ETV reporter B. Mallik, who had gone there to report on hospital conditions.
