DCCB General Manager kidnapped, let off

KADAPA: Kadapa District Cooperative Central General Manager C. Mohan Reddy was allegedly kidnapped by a suspended bank employee and his two sons who demanded payment of salary and allowances for the suspension period, according to the police.

Some persons forcibly took away the general manager in a Sumo from his house at Yerramukkapalle here on Monday night and threatened him to pay salary for the suspension period, the police said.

Mr. Reddy, who had been on long leave from a month, was on the verge of leaving for Hyderabad, when he was abducted, the police said.

When he agreed to the kidnappers' demand, they let him off on Kadapa outskirts, the police said.

He lodged a complaint with the Kadapa I Town police against the employee and his two sons.
