Srikakulam : Complaints against the functioning of ashram schools, lack of quality in works of special minor irrigation works, indifference in attending to the repairs to roads were brought to the notice of the 53rd governing body meeting of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency held at its headquarters in Sitampeta on Tuesday. District Collector V.N. Vishnu, who is also the chairman of the ITDA, and M. Surinder, project director, were present.
Monitoring
Kinjarapur Achem Naidu, MLA, wanted to know the fate of his proposal for setting up four ashram schools. He also complained that most of the wireless sets of Government offices were not functioning. However, Mr. Vishnu said that ashram schools were being set up under the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and steps had been taken to ensure proper functioning of the wireless sets.
