CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced on Tuesday that an enquiry would be conducted into the alleged destruction of crops of a Maharashtra-based seed company at Raitpur village in Karnal district last Saturday by activists of Bhartiya Kisan Union (Tikait). Talking to media persons after paying homage to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the office of the Haryana unit of the Congress here, Mr. Hooda described the incident as "very unfortunate.'' Mr. Hooda also hailed the Centre's decision to raise the minimum support price of wheat to Rs.750 per quintal from Rs.650 per quintal.
