`Buses find it hard to take right turn'

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: APSRTC Hyderabad regional manager C. Panduranga Murthy, in response to a report in these columns on the traffic problem at the Golnaka Rotary at Old Alwal has said that RTC buses are finding it difficult to take a right turn behind the Ambedkar statue on account of an auto-rickshaw stand there.

"Either the auto stand has to be removed or the Ambedkar Statue be shifted for easy flow of traffic, so as to avoid two-way movement on the single lane at the Ambedkar Statue," Mr. Murthy said in a statement.

New counters

The city region of the APSRTC is opening two bus pass counters on Wednesday at Nacharam and Ramanthapur.

While the Nacharam counter will be at the Rajiv Internet Village e-Seva Centre, opposite the HMT Nagar Bus Stop, the Ramanthapur counter will operate from Sri Sai Ram Cyber Café in Gangaputra Sangam building opposite the Hyderabad Public School lane in Nehrunagar of Ramanthapur.
