Floral tributes paid to Indira Gandhi

VIJAYAWADA: Floral tributes were paid to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at a function held to observe her 22nd death anniversary at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan, the City Congress office, here on Tuesday.

City Congress president Pyla Sominaidu, in-charge Mayor Cherukuri Krishna Kumar, VGTM UDA chairman Malladi Vishnu, Congress floor leader in the Municipal Corporation Kunuku Rajasekhar and corporators Mallika Begam and Veerla Varalakshmi and several city committee members garlanded a portrait of Indira Gandhi.

Later, Congress leaders and activists offered floral tributes to the bronze statue of Indira Gandhi near Challapalli Bungalow.
