Held on murder charge

VIJAYAWADA : The Ibrahimpatnam police on Tuesday arrested an auto-rickshaw driver on the charge of killing a woman.

The police charged Bolla Ramesh alias Ravi of Santinagar in Rayanapadu with killing Battu Venkataramana (35), a resident of the same area. The police said Ramesh and Venkataramana were living together. On October 14, she sustained burns and was admitted to Government General Hospital where she died on Tuesday. In her dying declaration she accused Ramesh of setting her ablaze.
