Three Lashkar men escape after gunbattle
Jammu:
Three Lashkar-e-Taiba members, including a self-styled divisional commander, on Tuesday escaped after a 20-hour gunbattle with security forces at Bhaderwah town in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. ``No militant could be traced after the search operation at Kai Mohalla in Bhaderwah tehsil, where a gun battle was on for 20 hours, with ultras holed up in a house,'' they said.
Self-styled divisional commander Abu Tallah and two other militants came to Kai Mohalla on Monday night to hold a meeting with Lashkar and Hizb-ul Mujahideen cadres, officials said. As they neared the house, the militants opened fire.
