General Motors October sales up 12 p.c.

CHENNAI: General Motors India sold 3,153 units in October 2006 against 2,829 units during the corresponding period last year, a growth of 12 per cent. The October sales comprise 2,011 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 902 units of Chevrolet Aveo and 240 units of Chevrolet Optra. Sales during the January to October 2006 period were 30,686 units against 26,371 units during the same period last year, a growth of over 16 per cent.
