Bidar: Processing of applications and delivery of services at the Deputy Commissioner's office have been digitised. Henceforth, people will not have to move from table to table to get their files cleared. They have to only submit an application at a computerised counter and get a receipt. They will be given a date by when their request is likely to be cleared. Applicants have to come back to the Deputy Commissioner's office on the date mentioned.
Inaugurated
Agriculture Minister and district in-charge Bandeppa Kashempur inaugurated the Spandana Centre on Wednesday. The counters are at the entrance of the office. Officials have fixed the maximum number of days it will take for a file to be processed. The centre has fixed 45 days for applications for conversion of agriculture lands to non-agricultural lands, 45 days for petrol station no-objection certificate, 20 days each for Other Backward Class certificate and border area resident certificate, and 10 days for pension for freedom fighters and requests under the Right To Information Act, according to Deputy Commissioner Munish Moudgil. The software programme for the centre was developed by a team of engineers from the National Informatics Centre, headed by T. Lingaraj, he said.
