Horse racing site for mobile users

CHENNAI: A horse racing information WAP site for mobile users, www.mobiraces.com, has been launched by the Hyderabad based Pyro Mobile. A one stop mobile destination for racing enthusiasts it will provide live information on horse racing across the country. The service was launched by Mr Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, Tamil Nadu Minister for Information & Publicity, at the Madras Race Club on Wednesday.

Mr. P. B. Shyam, CEO, Pyro Mobile, said "the launch of this product was one such initiative to bridge the gap between technology and the consumer to get the desired information sitting at home or on the move." He further said that it was a content solution being offered to get live racing updates on the mobile.

All one needs to get started is the Mobi Races Scratch Card and a basic GPRS connection from the mobile service provider. These cards are available at an introductory offer of Rs 250 (one month validity) and Rs 500 (three months validity) at the Madras Race Club.
