Rain in north T.N.

CHENNAI: Northeast monsoon has been vigorous over south coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rainfall occurred at many places over north Tamil Nadu, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and at a few places over south Tamil Nadu, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over north interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema. The following stations recorded very heavy to heavy rainfall in cms: Machilipattinam 17, Tiruppuvanam (Sivaganga dt.) 10.

Forecast (valid until Friday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Lakshadweep and at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over coastal and north interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema.
