NEW DELHI: The world's favourite spy is ready to go into flashback mode. On one of his first missions in "Casino Royale'', James Bond might not have his licence to kill just yet, but he will be bigger than ever in India.
Over 500 prints
With over 500 prints of the film being rolled out, it is all set to make history of sorts by becoming the biggest-ever Hollywood film to be released in India. "We are delighted to be distributing Casino Royale in India. James Bond has a huge equity in this country and his films have always been hits here. Our endeavour is to make it the biggest, best Bond film ever,'' says Uday Singh, Managing Director of Sony Pictures Releasing India. Giving Indian audiences a thrill, the film will be released in India along with the rest of the world on November 17. Much bigger than Sony's superhero "Spider-Man" sequel that released with 304 prints, it seeks to leave even die-hard Bond fans a little stirred. And going "desi" this time, Bond will have learnt the lingo. The film will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, giving many more people a chance to savour and succumb to his charms. The beginning of a brand new era for the spy, Bond will be played by Daniel Craig. The film also stars Dame Judi Dench as `M', the famous Head of the British Secret Service. Famous for his women, Bond will meet his first love Vesper Lynd, played by French actress Eva Green, in this film. It also stars Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen.
