Kerala Home Minister expresses regret
Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM
: Kerala's Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Wednesday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to express regret at the security lapse that occurred when the Prime Minister's cavalcade was moving from the airport to the Raj Bhavan.
The cavalcade had to stop for about five minutes as the pilot vehicle took a wrong turn at the Asan Square in the city on Tuesday night.
Mr. Balakrishnan terminated his journey to Delhi at Chennai and returned to meet the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister, however, told the Minister that the matter should not have been taken so seriously. The Minister should have proceeded to Delhi, as he was to attend a meeting of Home Ministers.
