HDMC confers awards on employees

HUBLI: Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation awarded "single star" to the first batch of twenty-eight employees in recognition of their citizen- friendly services at a felicitation ceremony held at Indira Glass House here on Wednesday.

Revenue and District-in-charge Minister Jagadish Shettar and MP Pralhad Joshi conferred the awards on the employees. Deputy Commissioner M.S. Srikar, Municipal Commissioner P. Manivannan and others were present.

HDMC has decided to make it an annual affair, which would be coincide the with Rajyotsava Day celebrations. The objective of conferring awards based on the "starred system" formulated for the purpose was to enhance the credibility of the corporation, improve the quality of citizen services rendered it and motivate employees. The corporation has classified the award into four categories — Single Star, Double Star, Triple Star and Corporation Award.
