KOTTAYAM: The State Government will move ahead competitively in implementing programmes which will lead to people's welfare and the good of the land, N.K. Premachandran, Minister for Irrigation, has said. Inaugurating the district-level golden jubilee celebrations of Kerala Piravi here on Wednesday, Mr. Premachandran said the Government was committed to bringing in development with social justice. The district authorities declared 15 projects on the occasion, to be implemented in a time-bound manner during the 50-day celebrations. V.N. Vasavan, MLA, presided over the function. Mons Joseph, MLA, municipal chairperson Reeba Varkey and others spoke.
