Poster released

Minister for School Education N. Rajyalakshmi released a poster to initiate a campaign on observing November as Students Environmental Month here on Wednesday. According to a press release issued by National Green Corps, the campaign will focus on environment education activities in all schools in the State. An amount of Rs. 2 crores has been released to these schools and the same will be utilised for conducting NGC environmental projects.

Get-together

The French Embassy will organise a get-together of students/professionals who had visited France either on their own or through scholarships at the Alliance Francaise here on November 22. The idea is to update the database and provide an opportunity to those who had been to France to renew old contacts, forge new ones and meet from time to time. RTC workers' rally

The Struggle Committee for Casual Workers' Regularisationhas called for a `Chalo MD office' rally on November 3. The rally is intended to bring pressure on the management to regularise the services of casual employees before March next, as agreed upon during the strike in 2005, said general secretaries U.A. Narayana (CDCU) and M. Prabhakar (Struggle Committee), in a press release.

Annual meeting

The Annual Area Meeting of the 16 Lodges, a primary unit in Freemasonry, of Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Warangal will be held under the aegis of the Regional Grand Lodge of Southern India at Goshamahal Baradari Masonic Temple here on November 4.
