Awareness rally

Coimbatore Cancer Foundation will take out a cancer awareness rally from the Red Cross Building on November 4 at 10 a.m.

Graduation ceremony

PSG College of Physiotherapy will conduct graduation ceremony on November 3 at 5 p.m. M.N.G Mani, Secretary General, International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment, Coimbatore, will award degrees to the graduates and deliver the convocation address.

Detained

Two habitual offenders have been detained under the Goondas Act for a period of one year on the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore city, C.K. Gandhirajan. Coonooran alias Babu alias Maheswaran (27) was arrested on September 23 on the charge of stabbing Faizal Rehman while picking his pocket in a town bus on September 16. Similarly, Manoharan (50) of Irugur was also arrested on the charge of attempting to rob cell phones and cash from a person on the Ukkadam - Perur bypass on September 16.

He was involved in more than 30 cases.
