Autorickshaw strike

KOCHI: Autorickshaws kept off the roads in the city on Wednesday in protest against the murder of a driver at the KINCO stand near the High Court recently.

Plea to end stir

KOCHI: The Private Motor Workers' Union has urged the State Government to take steps to resolve the ongoing lorry and bus strike in the State. In a press release, union said it was against the installation of speed governors. But it would accept the proposal if implemented across the country. — Staff Reporter

Meeting postponed

KOCHI: The Government Polytechnic College at Kalamassery has postponed the parent-teacher meeting scheduled for Friday in view of the bus strike. The meeting will now be held on November 10. A meeting of the parents of hostellers will be held that day, says an official press release. — Staff Reporter
