BANGALORE: The Chennaites did it again. After winning the Chennai leg of the annual "Landmark Quiz," the team "Q.E.D.", comprising Swami, Sumu and Gopal Kiddo, finished a come-from-behind victory over their Bangalore rivals to grab the trophy here on Wednesday. At the end of the first round, QED was way behind with only 25 points compared to the eventual runners-up "VR like this only." Ultimately, that 55-point lead did not help the runner-up as they admitted defeat in the face of a stirring show in the final round by QED. The winning team of "Landmark Quiz `06" walked away with gift vouchers estimated at Rs. 30,000 and a trip to Bangkok for three days and two nights. The runner-up team of Achinto Sharma, Anstyup Dutta and Arun Hiregange won gift vouchers estimated at Rs. 15,000. The team from Infosys, "Mustafa" finished third, but won the "Best Corporate Team" award. The quiz was made alive, interactive and gripping by quizmaster Derek O'brien. While the team from Delhi Public School was adjudged the Best School Team, the team from Vijaya Junior finished second. A team with a title called "Quzzingunia Symptoms Personified" won an award for Best Team Name. Capping it all was Anstyup Dutta, who was declared the "Quizzer of the Year."
