CHENNAI: Northeast monsoon has been vigorous over Rayalaseema and active over south coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal and south interior Karnataka, at many places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Kerala and at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Lakshadweep and Tamil Nadu. Isolated rainfall occurred over north interior Karnataka.

Forecast (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, South coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka and at a few places over Lakshadweep, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, south Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and north interior Karnataka during the next 48 hours.
