Insurance for fish farming

THRISSUR: The Kerala Government will explore the possibility of launching insurance schemes for agriculturists who venture into freshwater fish farming, Fisheries Minister S. Sarma has said.

Inaugurating freshwater shrimp harvesting at Adattu, on Thursday, Mr. Sarma said the Government would extend all support to freshwater fish farming on `kole' land.
