First meeting cancelled

BANGALORE: The first day of the Bangalore Winter Races scheduled to be held on Saturday (Nov. 4), has been cancelled due to paucity of acceptors, according to a Bangalore Turf Club press release.

Races postponed

The first day of the Madras races slated for Saturday (Nov. 4) has been postponed to Sunday (Nov. 5) due to rain which has rendered the track not conducive for racing, says a press release from the Madras Race Club.

Consequently the second meeting to be held on Sunday (Nov. 5) will now be conducted on Monday (Nov. 6).
