HYDERABAD: The stage is all set for the commencement of Bancon-2006, the premier annual banking event, here on Friday. Being organised for the first time in A.P. at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, the mega event will feature participation of policymakers, heads of banking industry besides delegates from abroad, including from the World Bank. Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram will inaugurate the conference. Stalwarts in the banking sector, including C. Rangarajan, Chairman of Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, will deliver special lectures. Reserve Bank of India Governor Y.V. Reddy will be chief guest at the valedictory of the event.
