Lawrence enters final

Udhagamandalam: Lawrence School defeated Stanes by 88 runs and entered the final of the NDCA under-19 inter-school cricket tournament for the FK Irani Rolling Trophy on Wednesday.

The scores: Lawrence 215 (Antony George 56) bt Stanes 127 (R. Shyam Nath 49, Priya Brath Patnaik four for 30, Nosthusa Kenjige four for 33).

Chess tournament

An inter-school chess tournament jointly organised by the Rotaract Clubs of Coimbatore Symphony and the Avinashilingam Deemed University (ADU) will be held at the ADU premises in Coimbatore on November 3 from 9 a.m.
