RTI: Government employees draw flak

Staff Reporter

TIRUPATI: The round table meet on `Right to Information' has squarely blamed officialdom for being insensitive to common man's woes and pouring cold water on his right of access to information.

At the meet on `Good governance and public service delivery in India - Right to Information Act as an instrument', organised by the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India (AGRASRI) here on Wednesday, several academicians, politicians and bureaucrats opined that the onus of successfully enforcing the Act vested more with Government employees and blamed them for not implementing the same in letter and spirit.
