Allround display by Minash Gabriel

HYDERABAD: An allround show by Minash Gabriel (109 not out, 7 x 4, 1 x 6 and four for 14) helped St. John's Jr. College record a 204-run win against Sultan-ul-Uloom Junior College in the Parle Cup (under-17) cricket tournament here.

Arun, Pramada shine

Arun Kumar and V. Pramada stole the show in the boys' and girls' under-12 sections respectively in the 1.5 km race organised as part of the C. Devender Yadav Memorial Open State road races at Lal Bahadur Stadium here.

Billiards & snooker

Andhra Pradesh Billiards & Snooker Association will organise the third-leg of the AP State championship from Nov. 3 to 11 at Jubilee Hills International Centre. The event assumes significance as the State team to take part in the senior Nationals in Chennai will be picked based on the performances here.

The fourth-leg will be in Visakhapatnam from Nov. 26.

AP shooting squad

The Andhra Pradesh team to take part in the all India G.V. Mavlankar shooting championship to be held in Asansol from Nov. 5 was announced here.

Sudhakar for Colombo

Vemuri Sudhakar, who officiated in three Olympics, will be the chief referee for the Asian Satellite badminton championship to be held in Colombo from Nov. 9 to 12, according to a press release here. The 57-year-old official who also officiated in three World championships will also conduct an umpires' clinic in Colombo for the Sri Lankans.

HDWCA trials

The Hyderabad District Women's Cricket Association will conduct selection trials at St. Thomas High School, Vinayaknagar, Neredmet, from Nov. 4 to 6 to pick its district junior women's cricket team.
