HYDERABAD: Hyderabad won the three-day South Zone under-22 inter-State cricket tournament after snatching the vital first innings lead against Karnataka in the final round match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Thursday. Karnataka, resuming at 53 for six in 19 overs, was bundled out for 91 in 36.2 overs. In reply, Hyderabad was 141 for two in 32.3 overs with Danny Derek Prince (59, 91b, 8x4) and D.B. Ravi Teja (56 not out, 94b, 7x4) being the main scorers.s
By virtue of the two points from this match, Hyderabad topped the table with 10 points to finish winners. The scores: At Uppal: Karnataka 91 in 36.2 overs (P. Kaushik Reddy three for 48, M.P. Arjun four for 20, P. Pragyan Ojha three for 18) drew with Hyderabad 141 for two in 32.3 overs (Danny Derek Prince 59, D.B. Ravi Teja 56 not out). At Gymkhana: Tamil Nadu 262 in 107.5 overs (R. Srinivasan 42, Prashant Parameshwaran three for 62, Raphi Vincent Gomez three for 48) drew with Kerala 36 without loss in 25.2 overs. At NFC: Andhra 265 for six and 70 for four in 8.2 overs (A.G. Pradeep 40) drew with Goa 219 in 63.3 overs (Rupesh Sarvankar 57, Rohit Asnodkar 40, Praveen five for 51, Vijay Kumar three for 59). Final points tally: 1. Hyderabad (10), 2. Kerala (9), 3. Karnataka (8), 4. Andhra (7), 5. Tamil Nadu (4), Goa (1).
