HASSAN: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has decided to hold conventions in all cities and towns that are district headquarters after November 15 to create awareness among the people on what it describes as the failure of the State Government on various fronts, KPCC president M. Mallikarjun Kharge has said. Mr. Kharge, who was on his way to Chikmagalur to participate in party workers' meet, told presspersons here on Thursday that the coalition government had failed to contain the recent communal violence in Mangalore, impartially identify families living below the poverty line, check rampant corruption in administration and prevent delay in implementing development works. On the allegations by KDF leaders that the Centre was discriminating against the State in releasing funds for development works, Mr. Kharge it was the State Government that had failed to use funds released by the Centre under the Calamity Relief Fund and the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
