DEHRA DUN: Military officials here have arrested two young men trying to join the Army allegedly using fake documents at the recruitment centre in Lansedowne and the agent who had allegedly promised to get them the jobs against payment of Rs 60,000 each. The officials got suspicious of the young men when they could not give proper replies to questions about the service details of their fathers whom they claimed to be ex-Servicemen.
Dependents
The recruitment was for dependents of ex-Servicemen. Satish Kumar and Sarvesh Singh, both residents of Bhind in Madhya Pradesh, had allegedly paid Rs 60,000 each to the agent, Jai Singh, a resident of Roorkee who secured fake "Serviceman relation" documents made from Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh, the police said, adding that Jai Singh had admitted getting a few others recruited in the Army at various recruitment centres in the country.
