UK universities schedule interviews

CHENNAI: Campus Abroad (www.campus-abroad.com), a consultant in overseas education, will be hosting representatives of leading universities and educational institutions from the United Kingdom who are visiting the city later this month to conduct student interviews for the January 2007 intake.

Martin Howarth and Dharmendra Shadija, School of Engineering, Computing and Media, Sheffield Hallam University, will visit Chennai on November 7 and counsel students.

Sheffield Hallam, one of the largest universities in the UK offers a number of Masters' courses in association with major companies that bring together advanced academic study with professional industry certification and training delivered by experts.

Deborah Knight from Holborn College, London, will be counselling and interviewing students on November 10.

The courses offered by the college are MBA, MA - International Business, LLM - Law of International Trade, and LLB.

Janet Shead from Leeds Metropolitan University will conduct student interviews on November 11.

Leeds Metropolitan University has been awarded the `Higher Education Institution of the Year' award in 2006 by Times Higher Education Supplement.

Christine Donald, Communication Manager, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, will be in the city on November 17 and 18.

Strathclyde University is known for its quality research and extensive corporate links as well as its strong commitment to student's welfare.

Des Bath, from the University of Bolton will be counselling and interviewing students on November 18.

Courses offered are M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., M.B.A., M.A., H.R.M., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D.

Rajendra Sampat from the University of East London will be available for counselling and for admission to the university on November 21.

The University of East London offers a wide range of both taught and research-based postgraduate programmes.
